Provides programs to increase the number of families available to foster/adopt children. TRAC provides pre-service training, family profiles, and ongoing placement support. TRAC also provides post adoption services and outpatient therapy.

The treatment team serves as the family's case manager. As such, the treatment team's responsibilities include assessment, planning, service linkage, advocacy, procuring goods and services, and referrals.

Provides comprehensive assessment and treatment of depressive, anxiety, social phobias, and manic-depressive disorders. Free evaluations and treatment are offered to patients who are eligible for research programs. The center provides assessments and referrals to treatment programs.

Offers individual and group therapy is family focused and all staff members are cross-trained to recognize and treat multiple symptoms. Educates clients and families about their diagnosis and prognosis so they can participate in a recovery and resiliency focused treatment process. Provides medication monitoring and referrals for other services.

Offers limited intensive psychiatric treatment and is designed to provide crisis stabilization and acute psychiatric symptom reduction as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care. Clients served cannot benefit from traditional outpatient psychotherapy at the time of referral. Treatment is goal focused and assessment and treatment are reviewed on a daily basis. Discharge planning is an integral part of the program, with recipients leaving with arrangements for less intensive levels of treatment in place.

Offers assessments by licensed optometrists, prescriptions for optical aids, and the opportunity to try out aids ranging from magnifiers, writing guides, special lighting devices, and closed-circuit TVs. Prevention of blindness programs including free vision screenings for children 12 months to 6 years of age.

Transportation:
This free door-to-door service provides rides to essential medical appointment or critical service need, such as obtaining a photo ID or grocery shopping. Individuals must live in Allegheny County and meet the program criteria. Appointments requested to be made in advance.

Offers a service that links community members seeking mental health support to a variety of Black-centric clinicians, therapists, and/or other wellness practitioners.

Offers bilingual Case Management and Reentry Services for individuals returning to the community following incarceration and those who are involved in the criminal justice system.

Provides assistance with applying for benefits, housing, food, and understanding documents in English. Assists individuals with complying with court orders, parole/probation. Offers Court Accompaniment (in-person support for first legal proceeding appointment). Provides referrals to Spanish-speaking therapists.

Identifies families and individuals in need of mental health support, and provides assessments, screenings, and referrals, as well as coordinates access to licensed mental health providers in the region who have the cultural understanding and language ability to serve the Latino community.

Provides community based support for families with children ages prenatal through kindergarten. Services include: home visits, developmental screenings, goal planning, parenting classes, Parent Council, Parent Leadership opportunities, Fatherhood group, nurses provide pre and postnatal care and health education, Toddler Class, preschool class, referral to community resources, and fun family activities. A therapist is available to work with parents and children together and to refer to the parent child interaction therapy program.

Provides in-home services for families at risk for child abuse and neglect. Through counseling, parenting and life skills education, and referrals to community organizations, families improve their functioning and connect with the resources they need to provide a safe and secure home for their children.

Provides comprehensive special education services for exceptional children.

Provides substance abuse and mental health treatment including assessment/evaluation, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, substance abuse partial hospitalization, psychiatric evaluations and medications, referrals, child and adolescent services including Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Provides around the clock support and guidance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to include weekends and holidays. Victims/survivors will receive support from a trained crisis intervention advocate or volunteer who is certified through our crisis intervention training.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the process of systematically applying intervention based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors while demonstrating through data analysis that there is a direct correlation between the intervention and the behavior change. ABA is researched-based and proven to be the most effective way to treat individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorders and other behavioral concerns. ABA can be used for addressing a variety of issues including skill deficits and problem behaviors. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is endorsed by the American Medical Association and United States Surgeon General.

Provides mental health crisis intervention referrals for indiividuals with intellectual disabilities.

Provides employment, education, and training assistance.

Offers trained community members who, acting as trauma responders, support and lead responses to stress, trauma, loss, and violence within their own communities. Responders work alongside community leaders to provide technical assistance, facilitate group interventions, and create healing spaces. Provides Psychological First Aid (PFA) and immediate support following an incident of violence or trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Management (PTSM) interventions including orientation sessions, stabilization groups, coping groups, and self-care discussions. Offers presentations, workshops, and referrals for clinical services and wellness resources.

citizens to remain active in their communities. They operate under guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.

- Advocacy - Support and representation, administratively and legislatively, for the needs of older adults as a group or individually.
- PA MEDI - assistance with health insurance benefit concerns, appeals, benefit applications.
- Employment Services - subsidized employment for training purposes. Available to low income persons age 55 and older.
- Information and Referral - answers to questions on the availability of services and programs for older adults.
- Legal Services - provided in non-fee generating cases via a contract with North Penn Legal Services, Inc.
- Nursing Home Transition - Information about availability of long term care in a variety of settings - in the home, or in assisted living, and planning/coordination in making a move to an alternate setting including arranging for necessary services, for current residents of nursing homes.

Provides support to women who are pregnant, to families seeking to adopt, and to children in need of a temporary or permanent home when reunification is not an option. Offers assessment of a family's situation, case advocacy, support groups, education, respite, family cam,p and referrals.

Provides mental health services, referrals, case management, children and adolescent services, system program (CASSP), community hospital integration projects, partial hospitalization, inpatient treatment, and peer support.

Operates a helpline that provides information on the detection and treatment of speech and hearing problems, referrals to local speech pathologists and audiologists, and information on speech and hearing.

Aging Advocacy - MHA provides advocacy services at the South Mountain Restoration Center to ensure the rights of individuals to receive the most appropriate services in the most appropriate setting are assured.

Community Advocacy - MHA provides advocacy services when community members who need assistance with getting appropriate or desired services feel they have exercised all options available to them.

Offers one-to-one support for recovery from mental illness through Certified Peer Specialists, people who are successfully progressing in their own recovery and have received intensive training in peer support.

Helps to connect seniors to others as a powerful means of reducing stress and preventing loneliness and depression. Offers a call specialist that calls them once a week to check-up on them and talk about any struggles they are having.

Offers support for families. Groups follow the PA Family Support Alliance model and are facilitated by trained volunteers to improve parenting and strengthen families. Provides volunteer opportunities available for ages 14 and older.

Provides a 14 Week Program with free lunch, free childcare, and transportation. Offers prevention and intervention program intended to enhance children's social and emotional competencies, and ultimately reduce behavior problems.

Provides individual and family therapy for sexual abuse victims up to age 17. Group therapy is available for the 3-10 age group. Parent counseling is mandatory if the child is in family therapy. Evaluations and diagnosis is also available.

COMHAR offers a range of services to those with HIV/AIDS and mental illness and their families or caregivers. COMHAR's services include counseling for loved ones affected by HIV/AIDS and referrals as needed to other programs within an active network of HIV/AIDS service providers.

Provides a variety of services to assist individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families to live and work in their home communities. Support services offered are based in the local community and encourage active participation by the individual, their family, friends, and neighbors. Services include: residential and in-home care, vocational and employment services, family support and specialized therapies, and specialized early intervention services for children from birth to age 3 who have a developmental delay.

Pathway To Recovery is designed to provide the structure and intensity of inpatient rehabilitation in an outpatient setting. Provided are evaluations, individual counseling, group therapy, intensive outpatient, referrals, life skills and prevention education.

Licensed by the Department of Public Welfare, program provides an integrated therapeutic and educational program for children and adolescents in grades 6-12.
Children who attend receive quality individual and group therapy services, as well as individualized education programs. In addition, psychiatric services are provided on-site to prevent placement in more restrictive mental health settings. The program accepts referrals from parents, community agencies and medical providers.
