Transporting veterans to and from their VA medical appointments and are conveniently located at VFW posts. Has five DAV vans. Please Note: One ride is equivalent to an individual going to and returning from an appointment. Some organizations count a round-trip as two separate rides.

Transportation for urgent care services can be provided if a physician/provider identifies it as urgent. CCTD must be notified by a physician's office.
Urgent Care is defined as follows:
``Any illness or severe condition which under reasonable standards of medical practice would be diagnosed and treated within a twenty-four (24) hour period and if left untreated, could rapidly become a crisis or an emergency situation: or discharge from a hospital will be delayed until services are approved; or a member's/ client's ability to avoid hospitalization depends upon prompt approval of services.

Medical Assistance Transportation Program provides transportation for treatment, medical evaluation, or to purchase prescription drugs or medical equipment that is compensated by medical assistance.

CCTD is the transportation provider for Medical Assistance recipients in Cumberland County.
Escorts are permitted if:
1. The recipient is physically or mentally incapable of traveling alone.
2. The recipient is a minor (18 or younger).
3. The effects of treatment may cause temporary incapacity.
4. A physician provides a written statement that an escort is necessary for medical reasons.
5. The recipient needs an interpreter.
6. You provide your own escort; CCTD cannot provide them for you.
7. You notify CCTD at the time the trip is scheduled.

Capital Area Transit's (CAT) Paratransit Division provides Share-A-Ride Transportation service to County residents age 65 or older who cannot use the fixed route bus system or who reside in areas not served by community based transportation programs.

Provides transportation to medical appointments, senior centers, and possibly other sites. Appointments must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Transportation services are provided through an agreement with Community Transit of Delaware County. Community Transit is a shared-ride transportation network, providing services to those unable to use public transportation, lacking access to public transportation routes, or those needing more specialized services.

Volunteers provide non-medical, in-home services to seniors on a short term or intermittent basis to complement care provided by family or friends. Services available include grocery shopping, transportation to medical or other appointments and companionship.

Transportation for veterans to appointments at the VA Hospital. To use the service, veterans must be ambulatory. Service is limited to Butler county.

Provides escorted rides directly to and from medical appointments, banks, grocery stores, and other necessary appointments. Volunteers also shop for individuals who can not leave their homes, carry groceries, and/or put away the food.

Provides low or no cost transportation determined through an application process, providing door-to-door service for people in need. Those eligible can take the LIFT to medical appointments, shopping and recreational activities.
