Screens clients to determine treatment/non-treatment needs. Provide supportive counseling and assistance with referrals. Provide re-entry services for the substance abusing/dependent client who is transitioning from incarceration or fulfilling criminal justice mandates. Monitor drug/alcohol use by performing breathalyzer tests and urine drug screens and report the results to the assigned probation officer or designee of the Court. Within this setting, you will work on tasks such as: hand and machine assembly, heat sealing and shrink wrapping, drilling, gluing, sorting, packaging, labeling and occasional clerical jobs.
You will also work with professional staff to develop your social skills so that you can work cooperatively with others while on the job and in future work settings.
You will be paid for this work in keeping with the United States Department of Labor standards.

Providing career services, placement, and reentry services. After enrollment program details, including participant responsibilities, are reviewed as well as any barriers the participant has that need to be addressed such as securing identification (photo ID, driver's license, birth certificate, social security card., etc.). While the participant is still incarcerated (pre-release), job readiness services are provided along with career exploration and discussions of education and occupational skills training opportunities. Post-release we continue to coordinate education, training, and employment activities while also encouraging participants in their continuation with any, court ordered or voluntary, mental health services and/or drug and alcohol treatment. We also continue to provide supportive services such as bus passes, work clothing, etc. From the date of initial enrollment, we are in contact with participants for about two or more years.

Individuals are provided assistance through the entire job search process including constructing resumes, practicing interview skills, and applying for jobs. The support continues after being hired until the employee, employer, and employment specialist are all confident that the job can be performed independently.

Employment Support Services include job assessments, job readiness training, job developing, job placement, volunteering, community-based work assessment, on-the-job training, Social Security benefits counseling, follow-along services.

Offers a halfway house for adult males with a history of substance use who are coming out of prison and need a safe environment to re-integrate into society. Services for residents include counseling, twelve-step meetings, life skills and budgeting training, and assistance securing employment. Residents are also referred to educational, vocational, drug/alcohol, and rehabilitation services in the community.
