Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) helps families who are adopting a child. CGMA offers both loans and grants for this purpose.

A CGMA Adoption Loan may be provided to eligible CGMA clients who are incurring expenses related to the legal adoption of a child when they do not have all of the funds necessary to proceed with the adoption process.

A CGMA Adoption Grant may be provided to eligible CGMA clients to assist with the cost of the home study directly related to the adoption.

Clients may be eligible to receive both a grant and a loan.

Adoption Loan: Qualified adoption expenses are those reasonable and necessary expenses directly related to, and for the principal purpose of, the legal adoption of an eligible child and may include:

    It is the goal of the Amputee Coalition through the Kathy Spozio Bridge to Ability Fund to reduce or eliminate the financial barriers to attending our national conference for new amputees.

    The Bridge to Ability Scholarship provides full Conference registration, covering health and wellness education, technology sessions, special clinics and social networking, as well as lodging expenses and up to $300 in reimbursement for travel expenses.

    Bowman Limb Bank Foundation
    The Bowman Limb Bank Foundation acts as a ready resource for artificial limbs for those in need.

    They collect and distribute all forms of prosthetic limbs to those in need and will collaborate at times with other foundations to assist in other countries outside the U.S. (such as Physicians for Peace), and prosthetic labs across the United States.
