Food pantry distributes bags of non-perishable, fresh and frozen foods. Individuals will be asked to sign declaration of need and must bring proof of residency in Lehigh Township, Packer Township, Lausanne Township, Weatherly Borough or Eastside Borough. Individuals can receive a bag of groceries once a month. Non-resident walk-ins will be assisted with food one time and then referred to Second Harvest Food Bank. Food donations are accepted Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm.

Program areas include, but are not limited to, GED tutoring and testing, Rental payment assistance, Homelessness prevention, Child Care Subsidies, Weatherization and home energy conservation programs, medical assistance transportation, utility payment assistance, and more.

Energy conservation measures are installed to homes for utility customers experiencing high kilowatt usage.

Measures may include attic insulation, floor insulation, furnace testing, weather stripping, door sweeps, caulking, hot water heater and pipe wrap, faucet aerators, low flow showerheads and energy education

Addresses weatherization, furnace, and other energy conservation services
Weatherization measures include: air sealing (caulking, weather stripping, door sweeps, attic insulation and venting

Offers a 1% loans up to $10,000 for energy efficient home repairs for those with low and moderate incomes.
The loans can pay for air sealing, insulation and duct work, energy-efficient windows and doors, heating and cooling system repairs or replacements, roof replacements, and remediation of barriers preventing Weatherization services.
Low interest loans at 1% through PA Housing Finance Agency for income eligible families.

Emergency homeless shelter providing separate facilities for men and women. The Shelter provides a place to sleep and share companionship. Meals, snacks, shower facilities and laundry services are also available.

Helps individuals insulate their homes. Also will help to lower the cost of heating the home or apartment building.

Offers a day shelter that provides breakfast; mail, fax, and phone services; lockers (30 days max); public restrooms; hot showers with towels and soap provided; crisis intervention and mental health counseling; social service applications and referrals; a monthly legal aid clinic; and an ID clinic to obtain state IDs, birth certificates, and social security cards.

Serves as a cooling center during extreme heat weather emergencies.

Cold weather emergency shelter program that operates throughout the winter months. It provides emergency shelter for an additional 80-100 men nightly. Men sleep on bunkbeds in Mission gym. Program participants attend nightly evening chapels led by local church partners, immediately followed by dinner. Men in Code Blue also have daily access to Wi-Fi enabled laptops, laundry services, and showers.

Provides assistance in energy saving home improvements such as insulation, water heater wrapping, weather sealing doors and windows, water-saving devices, etc.

Assistance in the form of labor and supplies to help people improve the energy efficiency of their homes, and any Health and Safety issues with their heating systems

Ensures housing is structurally sound and habitable by today's standards and helps to improve the health and safety of the home. Repairs and/or replacements, of inefficient or dangerous heating systems, upgrading electrical systems & fixtures, defective plumbing, and roof, are some activities performed through this program.

Provide eligible families / individuals with a Home Energy Audit which will determine that types of energy efficient work shall be perform on the home. Some of the work available to low-income residents of Lawrence County include: insulation, basement air sealing, window and door treatments, etc.
