Offers free English as as Second Language (ESL) programs for adults who wish to improve their English proficiency. Several levels of classes are offered from beginner to advanced.

Offers free one-to-one tutoring, small, groups and classes in the community and at the Bucks County Correctional Facilities to prepare adults to function effectively in their roles as family members, employees and citizens.

Provides educational services in the Bucks County Correctional Facility, the Community Corrections Center, and the community for re-entrants. Provides basic literacy and GED prep. Cognitive behavioral skills instruction, decision making, and employment readiness.

Offers free adult basic education for adults who wish to improve reading, writing, and math skills. Focuses on core skills needed to obtain HSE diploma or transition to a training program/post-secondary institution.

Transportation provided in an agency van for various purposes on a first come, first serve basis.



Service is provided to appointments for residents of Northern Lancaster County who otherwise have no means of transportation.



Ephrata Social Services can provide transportation to Community Center at Ephrata Public Library for VITA program tax services. Must call FIVE days prior to your appointment. Hours of transportation are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. Only for residents of the Ephrata area and Cocalico School District.
