Provides representative payee services, a system of financial and budgetary management for individuals who have a mental illness, individuals who have developmental disabilities, and older adults who are unable to manage their financial affairs or Social Security and other benefits..

For governmental entitlements by establishing a weekly/monthly budget, creating personal bank accounts and reconciling the statements, verifying and paying bills, and insuring the individual has personal spending money. A weekly/monthly budget is created by a team approach with input from those closely involved in the individual's life.

Authorized through the Social Security Office to work closely with individuals to help manage and allocate individuals' funds appropriately to ensure bills are paid on time. Payees also assist with tracking and accounting for monies spent, budgeting, and tenant-landlord communications to ensure each individual receives the support necessary to live as independently as possible.

Develops personalized budgets and maintain a personal account for each consumer which is used for monthly bills and other financial obligations.

Representative Payee services to self-advocates that need help managing their financial resources.

Arranges for SSI recipients to be sent to Blair CAP, a bank, relative or other individual who has been appointed under federal law to act as a surrogate for recipients in situations where they are unable to manage their own funds.

The following services are offered to homeless individuals seeking assistance with recovery on a drop-in basis: Crisis Intervention and Continuing Care ;Representative Payee Services; Information and Referral to Local Drug and Alcohol and Mental Health Services; Recovery Specialist on Staff; Resource Coordination; Sober and Supportive Day Room Environment.

Offers financial management and counseling. The level of support provided is based on individual needs. Services may include developing and implementing budgets, checkbook management, resolving past debts while establishing good credit, coordinating with the Social Security Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services, and accessing other community and financial resources.

Social Security Representative Payee Program provides financial monitoring and fund administration to individuals receiving social security who are unable to manage their own finances.

The staff and consumer jointly prepare a budget to assist the consumer in managing their monthly expenses with the outcome of achieving financial stability.

Provides financial management services. FCS receives income payments, prepares and administers budgets, communicates with landlords, vendors, and Social Security, and disburses funds on behalf of the individual. Individuals receive a monthly statement showing income, disbursements, and current account balances.

Services based on individual need and may include supports coordination, clinical psychiatric care and financial management, such as Representative Payee and Agency with Choice.

Helps persons receiving Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits manage their money. Services include: establishing an account for each individual, making sure that the individual receives maximum benefits possible, corresponding with families and assisting in paying off any debts the individual may have.

Provides payee services to mental health consumers who receive Social Security, Supplemental Security Income or Social Security Disability payments.

The Money Management Program will:
Prepare and send the day-to-day expenses to assure that essential bills are paid
Determine long-term needs for future stability
Coordinate benefits and medical services
Reconcile accounts, record expenses and make reports to the Social Security Administration as required
Offer resources and referrals as needed

Representative Payee Program
For individuals who receive Social Security benefits but they cannot manage their money. As a representative payee, Interfaith will:
manage your day-to-day expenses to assure that your essential bills are paid (rent, utilities, food, medical)
work with your case managers to develop a healthy living plan to support your needs
coordinate your benefits and medical services
reconcile your account every month, track income and expenses
set goals for future needs
report to the Social Security Administration as required
partner with other organizations and agencies for your benefit
offer resources and referrals as needed

Providing mental health crisis services, outpatient mental health, and representative payee services.

* Coordinated Entry Access Site, connects individuals to programs within the Conference or refers out to community resources. Also helps qualifying low-income individuals and families with rental assistance, goal setting and budgeting. Provides bus passes for interviews or for first week of employment. Toiletries/personal grooming items provided as available.
* Various rental assistance programs
* Homeless Supportive Services: Provides intensive case management and referrals to other support services for single, adult, chronically homeless individuals. Assist street homeless men and women to connect to community resources as they strive to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
* Social Security Representative Payee Program: Provides financial monitoring and fund administration to individuals receiving social security who are unable to manage their own finances.

Program is designed to handle the financial, medical and private affairs of individuals who need assistance or are not able to handle their personal affairs. Services range from estate management and planning , medical advocacy and decision making, placement in housing or nursing facility, counseling with families, paying bills and other ancillary services depending on need.

Responsible for assisting consumers who require assistance with their financial affairs.

Representative Payee is a program that assists consumers of mental health services who are unable to handle personal finances. Under the program, a representative payee ("rep payee") is designated to receive a consumer's benefit and/or other income payments. The rep payee then assumes responsibility for the consumer's financial well-being by managing such tasks as budgeting, bill paying and distribution of spending money to the consumer.

A homeless prevention program that provides financial oversight and management to individuals receiving social security who are unable to manage their own finances.

The Open Door provides rep payee services for individuals in our housing facility and community. This empowers individuals to take control of their lives and finances, reducing stress and allowing individuals to focus on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Provides individual supportive counseling, including case management to coordinate services, and representative payee services.

PLAN of PA serves as an Organizational Representative Payee for mentally disabled adults 18+ years of age receiving SSI & SSD benefits from the Social Security Administration. To receive this service, individuals must have Case Management and/or Trust Administration through PLAN of PA. As Representative Payee, PLAN of PA arranges for the clients Social Security check to be deposited directly into an individual, interest-bearing checking account, assures prompt payment of bills for basic food, shelter and medical needs and then helps develop a realistic, individualized budget for any remaining funds.

Assists clients in obtaining and maintaining independence through services and supports. Helps at-risk individuals remain as independent as possible through home and community-based supports.

A representative payee (payee) manages benefit payments for our beneficiaries who are incapable of managing their Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. Social Security law and regulations require payees to use the payments they receive for the current needs of the beneficiary and in their best interests. While serving as a representative payee, we encourage you to go beyond just managing payments and be actively involved in the beneficiary’s life. The following lists the required duties of a payee.

Required Duties:

Determine the beneficiary’s needs and use his or her payments to meet those needs;
Save any money left after meeting the beneficiary’s current needs in an interest bearing account or savings bonds for the beneficiary's future needs;
Report any changes or events which could affect the beneficiary's eligibility for payments;
Keep records of all payments received and how you spent and saved them;
Provide all records of how payments are spent or saved to SSA upon request;
Report to SSA any changes that would affect your performance or your continuing as payee;
Complete reports accounting for your use of payments, as required;
Return to SSA any payments to which the beneficiary is not entitled; and
Return to SSA any payments saved when you are no longer the representative payee for the beneficiary.

Payee is responsible for managing the financial transactions of the individuals receiving our services and others throughout the community who need help to manage or direct the management of his/her Social Security. Works closely with other professionals and SSA. Payees main duty is to make sure the current and future financial needs for providing food, shelter, clothing and medical care for the individuals are met.
