This month’s featured agency is Pennsylvania Department of Human Services – Northwestern County Assistance Offices. This agency provides grants to families living on low incomes to pay their heating bills. The grant is a one-time payment sent directly to the utility company/fuel provider. These grants range from $500 to $1,500 based on household size, income, and fuel type.
Households in immediate danger of being without heat may also qualify for crisis grants.
