The emergency department is open 24 hours, 7 days a for assessment and treatment of injuries and illnesses. The on-site helipad quickly facilitates trauma patients or transfers. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is the regionâ??s Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation accredited level II trauma center. Our trauma center provides patient-centered care from our team of fellowship-trained trauma physicians specializing in trauma, emergency surgery and critical care. Our specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to care for seriously injured patients.
