Philadelphia - Utility Emergency Services Fund (UESF)
Offers grants to income-eligible customers to help pay off the balance of their bill if their service has been terminated or if they have received a shut off notice. A customer may receive a UESF grant only every two years.

Must have a zero balance after receiving the grant
Household income is at or below 175 percent of Federal Poverty Level

Fee Amounts: If the UESF grant plus PGW’s matching amount do not meet the full balance, the customer is responsible for paying the remaining portion.

Helpful Tips: Grant is offered when no other federal aid is available. The maximum UESF grant amount is $1,500. PGW matches the amount of the UESF grant.
