Wilkes Barre Innovation Center - Wilkes-Barre Code Blue Shelter
An emergency shelter that opens when a "Code Blue" alert is issued when the forecast temperature, including wind chills, is expected to reach 20 degrees or lower, or a foot or more of snow, according to AccuWeather. Shelter provides a place of warmth for the night, protection from the weather conditions. Guests are provided with Bedrolls, cots, bedding, pilllows as well as access to a bathroom and shower.

Eligibility: Adults age 18 and older (no children) experiencing homelessness in the Wilkes-Barre area.
Hours: During a "Code Blue" alert, community members may enter at 8:00pm and leave the next morning at 7:00am.
