Medical Assistance, also known as Medicaid, pays for health care services for eligible individuals.

Provides direct payment to health care providers for medical services rendered to eligible clients. Prescription services available in some cases.
Specific programs include:
- Healthy Beginnings: Targets pregnant women and children under 19
- Healthy Horizons: Targets disabled persons and elderly persons ages 65 and older
