Penn Highlands
Penn Highlands - DuBois Regional Medical Center - Hugs for Kids and Teens
HUGS - Helping Understand Grief Stages - for Kids is sponsored by Penn Highlands Community Nurses Hospice and funded by the Gray Foundation. Held twice annually, these bereavement programs provide a safe and supportive atmosphere where children and teens from kindergarten to grade 12 who have experienced the death of a loved one, can share their experiences and feelings.

It is a six-week program held usually on Tuesday evening starting at 6:30pm. The facilitators will assist children and teens in learning ways to deal with the grieving process through discussions, role playing, art and literature. There is no fee to attend but registration is appreciated.
