BSST Tioga County Area Agency on Aging - Senior Companion Program
Provides assistance to older adults with various health issues or those who need companionship. Supports socialization, helps prepare lunch, play a game, read, or accompany senior to events or appointments. Senior companions are matched with clients according to needs, abilities, and distance.

Intake Requirements: Volunteers must be able to work 5 to 40 hours a week.
Helpful Tips: Senior companions serving between 5 and 40 hours per week earn tax-free hourly, meal, and mileage stipends. Provides orientation and in-service training along with a free annual health examination.
