BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 - Williamsport - Early Intervention Program
Provides a variety of need-based services in the least restrictive environment, including:
  • Evaluation of child's development
  • Consultations
  • Instruction in specialized classrooms
  • Related services, for example in the areas of speech, hearing, and vision, and assistance with psychological evaluations and assistive technology

In addition, provides screenings upon request, and resources, training, and outreach programs for schools, preschools, colleges, and various agencies.

Eligibility: Children ages 3 to 5 who have special needs, or suspected to be special needs,. Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation (MDE) team determines the child meets the eligibility criteria of a 25% dely in one (1) or more of the five (5) developmental areas AND demonstrates a need for specially designed instruction.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
