Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley

Help the Volunteer Center get a head start on the Holiday Hope Chests program by collecting clean, empty shoeboxes (from shoe stores near you, or from your own, your family or friend’s closets) and then wrapping them in winter-themed paper. You can even get the kids involved by helping to wrap the boxes or by having them color your own personalized wrapping paper. Be sure that the lids are wrapped separately so that small gifts can be placed inside, and please, NO BOOT sized boxes.

If you want to just collect the shoeboxes and drop them off so others can wrap them, that will be great, too! AND if you are an individual or group looking for a way to become involved, you can make an appointment to come to the Banana Factory to pick up boxes to take with you to wrap on your own time. We have wrapping paper to offer groups who want to do this.

The Volunteer Center has been serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities for 35 years as a capacity builder, resource provider and connector for the nonprofit and business communities as well as individuals who want to give back.
