Chronic Disease and Health Education Programs focus on smoking prevention/cessation, injury prevention, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.

Stray dogs apprehended by dog wardens which are found in municipalities not having a contract with the Humane League will be taken to other shelters for care and to be held the required 48 hours. There is a listing of shelters where wardens will take dogs under these circumstances on the Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement web site.
