Assumes responsible stewardship of the historic and natural heritage of Lower Saucon Township.

Offers educational programs; storage and classification of historic artifacts such as pictures, family genealogies, business records, and small local artifacts; social programs; and historic bus trips.

Offers a national destination for heritage and outdoor travelers with multiple sites for a wide range of experiences that develops greater awareness and appreciation of our region's waterways.

Offers museum exhibits, group tours, family craft days, supplemental activities for homeschooling programs, and classes in open hearth cooking, squirrel tail oven baking, spinning and weaving, quilting, and herb gardening.

Preserves the historical documents of York County and provides access to these documents to the general public. Will copy documents, when possible. Will also handle small research requests through the mail or e-mail.

York County Government

Wallace-Cross Mill is a restored 1826 water-powered grist mill located near Cross Roads, East Hopewell Township. Wallace-Cross Mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Harry Cross, the last operator of the mill presented the building to York County in 1979.

• Friends Group: The Friends of Wallace-Cross Mill was formed in 1999 to oversee the programs at the newly restored mill. Today the group conducts open houses at the mill from June through October, conducts fundraisers, and plans the future for the mill. For more information visit the Friends Group Webpage.
