Provides services pertaining to deeds

Official recorder of deeds, mortgages, power of attorneys, satisfaction pieces, oil leases, ordinances, assignments and releases of mortgage. This office is responsible for the administration of: Recorder of Wills, Recorder of Deeds, Marriage licenses, adoptions, relinquishments, settlements, guardianships, birth and death records (1893 through 1905), genealogy letters, deed and mortgage indexes.

Serves as the governing legislative body for Carbon County. Oversees county operations, including administration/ human resources, economic development, corrections, court services, emergency services, fiscal affairs, human services, public works, and the offices of the Coroner, Public Defender, Sheriff, and Solicitor.

The Register and Recorder's office is responsible for filing place all land transfers, wills, adoptions, military discharges, and providing marriage licenses. Documents are available to the public and copies can be made.

Records real estate documents for public information and probate decedent estates or any other documents which are required to be officially recorded. Also maintains archives of recorded documents.

Official County Recorder of all deeds, mortgages, leases and other miscellaneous real estate documents. Collects local and state real estate transfer taxes, affordable housing fees, judicial fees and writ taxes. Records all Notary Public commissions, renewals and changes and also swears in all Notary Publics. Records all real estate related Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) liens. Repository for land records for Lancaster County. Responsible for recording and storing records of all real estate transactions (deeds, mortgages). Access to all transactions and deeds is available online.
