Tax Claim - Administers collection of all delinquent real estate taxes owed to County and local taxing authorities. Set up payment plans for qualified individuals. Accepts and applies payment. Treasurer - Prints and distributes all bills for county and municipal real estate taxes. Annually issues license and permits for hunting (including Anterless Deer), fishing, dog, and motorboats. Issues licenses for Bingo and Small Games of Chance.

The County acts as an agent of the Commonwealth for those functions which are specified by State law. To carry out those functions, three County Commissioners are elected every four years. The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office has the following duties:
