Offers Pennsylvania residents who may not have the funds necessary to acquire the assistive technology devices such as walkers, hoyer lifts, bath seats and toilet seats, transfer benches and transfer boards, bedside commodes, over bed tables, manual wheelchairs, daily living aids (eating, dressing, etc.), assistive listening devices, blind/low vision aids, adapted telephones, communication and computer-related devices, canes and crutches, adaptive games, toys, and recreational devices that would allow them to live, work, and play as independently as possible in the communities of their choice are able to get the equipment for little to no cost. Allows individuals to donate or obtain gently used assistive technology devices.

In addition to the CHC/Waiver program, Angels On Call also provides services to participants seeking care with Private Duty, VetAssist, Adult Protective Services and ODP programs. Our agency aides also provide care for participants dealing with disease management, and dementia & Alzheimer’s.

The Adjustment to Vision Loss Program consists of four service areas which include Initial Assessment, Adaptive Aids for Daily Living, Referral & Advocacy Services, and Sight Loss Support Groups.

Specialty services provided by expert clinicians address the specific needs of patients with Alzheimer's Disease, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, dementia, wounds, incontinence, ostomies, and mental/behavioral health problems.

Recreates the small squad experience for veterans with events that typically have six participants. Groups are assigned a volunteer mentor and get the opportunity to bond and learn from each other. The outdoor activities aid in physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, and provide social interaction that allows soldiers to transition back into their daily lives.

Provides help with personal care and grooming, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, meal preparation, errands and grocery shopping, general companionship, and transportation to appointments. Also provides respite for caregivers.

As Handi-Crafters has grown, we recognized the need for individuals who wished to stop working to have a program in place that would allow them to retire, but remain engaged and active. The new Bentley Center has made this possible. Our Older Adult Daily Living Center is designed to provide meaningful activities for adults with disabilities who are 60 years of age or older and/or for individuals who have been diagnosed with dementia or related illness who wish to retire from their employment program. The program has a 7 to 1 staff-to-participant ratio which gives an opportunity for close bonds to be established. The staff includes a director, activities coordinator and activities aides, who are well trained, with backgrounds in therapeutic recreation, education, health care and other relevant experiences.

Provides a supportive living program design to prevent psychiatric and medical re-hospitalization while giving individuals independent housing in a supportive environment. Residents have access to 24/7 staff support. The program is designed to help individuals obtain independence of living within the community as well as aid in learning skills such as daily living skills, money management skills, and self-care. Also assists residents to work collaboratively with their medical professionals to understand their concerns and manage their medications.

Provides trained technologists that assist persons with ALS with identifying and applying assistive devices, which may include communication technology, telecommunications, computer access, electronic aids to assist with daily living, and assistance with seating and mobility tasks.

Provides year round day support designed specifically for adults of 18 years of age and older with moderate to profound developmental and/or physical disabilities. Provides a variety of services based on an individual's specific needs and abilities.

Functional Skills Training
Each program participant who attends the adult training facility (ATF) has goals to target specific areas of training, which are developed by the interdisciplinary team. These goals aid individuals in achieving their highest level of independence and environmental control.

All aides are trained in accordance with the guidelines of the PA Dept of Health. Staff must go through background checks. Caregivers are screened for tuberculosis and are certified in CPR. All aides are insured and bonded and covered by workers compensation.
