FGDM offers families the opportunity to join together with other people who are important in their lives, to develop a plan to resolve identified concerns. Families who enter into FGDM are guided by a Coordinator.

Comprehensive case management and referrals to help a family navigate and advocate what services will help them to succeed in our community. This agency takes a "whole family" approach to understanding what the needs are, what barriers may be keeping a family from experiening their "best selves" and help develop a plan to meet those needs. Individuals within a family as well as the family as a unit, gains understanding:
•what STRENGTHS are present •what SERVICES are appropriate •how to ACCESS those services •how to ASSESS what is working •develop STRATEGIES to thrive now and in the future This might be a great fit if your family is struggling in more than one of these areas: • FINANCES - are you in danger of loosing your housing or overwhelmed by bills? • BEHAVIOR - is your family or child struggling with anger and/or fighting? • SCHOOL - is your child struggling in school? Dickinson Center - Parents As Teachers (PAT)
Parents As Teachers is an early childhood parent education and family support program. The program model consists of four components: (1) Personal visits offer parents age-appropriate child development information, help them to observe their child, address parenting concerns and engage the family in activities that provide meaningful parent-child interaction. (2) Group meetings provide opportunities for families to share information about parenting issues and observe their children in a social setting. (3) Screenings are conducted to provide early identification of developmental delays and health, vision, and hearing problems and increase parents' understanding of their child's development. (4) A resource network helps families identify and connect with needed resources, and overcome barriers to accessing services.
