    • Personal Care Service Provides personal grooming help - bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and transferring.
    • Respite CareProgram designed to provide relief to the primary caregiver. Eligibility and hours will be determined in the assessment process.
    • Chore Service Minor home repair may be possible when safety and necessary upkeep is required.
    • Lifeline Alert Services Personal response system to help people live independently. 24 hour monitoring.
    • Protective Services Reports of abuse can be made by calling 717-334-9296 or 800-548-3240 24 hours a day.

Persons may request an assessment for Home Delivered Meals by contacting the Area Agency on Aging and completing the intake process with the Information and Referral staff on duty. Recipients may request 1 or 2 daily meals. Kosher Meals on Wheels is able to accommodate most special diets, such as diabetic, low salt, low fat, chopped, etc. The meals are fully cooked but are cold when delivered each day. The recipient can re-heat the meal in the oven or toaster oven after the lid is removed. The meal can also be transferred from the foil container to a microwave-safe plate for microwave heating. Volunteers who deliver the meals are interviewed and screened by Jewish Family Service. These volunteers not only bring a nutritious meal to your home, but also provide a friendly greeting and an important safety check for each individual who receives a meal.

    **COVID19 Update**: New Love Center Food Pantry Distributions in May will be on May 22 from 9-12 am and 1-3 pm. 229 South Broad Street, Jersey Shore We will continue with drive-thru service until the stay-at-home request is lifted for the safety of our clients and volunteers. The Cafe ,1407 Allegheny St, Jersey Shore will be offering take-out meals from the Cafe. Meals will be cooked as normal, packaged, and available for pick up between the hours of 11 am and 12:30 pm, M-F. Use Glover Street entrance of Trinity United Methodist Church to pick up take out. Will also offer meal delivery for the homebound 5 days per week in Jersey Shore, Avis, Woolrich, Salladasburg and small outlying locations beginning Thursday, March 26th. Deliveries will be made between the hours of 11 am - 2 pm Mon thru Friday. 2 meals-(hot meal and a sandwich meal) - drop off on the porch. To sign up for this delivery service you MUST call Heather at 570-560-5644 between 8 am and 8pm to sign up. _________________________________________ Pantry provides a box of food, milk, eggs, and produce for a family of four once per month on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Larger families receive more boxes based on the size of the family. One must fall under the income guidelines of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Also participates in the Senior Program (must be 60 or older) that supplements their regular box. Backpack program is focused on school children. he backpacks are distributed every Friday during the school year to children whose parents have registered them.
