Designed to meet the immediate needs of children who are in crisis, and is available when removal from the home is required to prevent injury or danger to the child or other family members.

Family Care for Children & Youth provides emergency foster care placement services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If a child is in immediate need of a safe place to stay, FCCY can provide short-term placement with a foster family for up to 30 days. During this time period, appropriate plans for future living arrangements will be made by all involved parties, including the child, the county caseworker, the child’s biological/legal family, the FCCY case manager, and the foster family. In many situations, it is suggested that the child be moved from emergency placement to our Family-Based Services program.

Provides a safe haven for children age six and under, 24-hours-a-day, closed for major holidays, so that no child will be left alone, harmed in an unexpected moment, or be fearful of what might happen next. 4/14 - open for daytime and residential care. Center is located at Kingsley Association.

In Butler County, with proper approval and in conjunction with Children and Youth Services, families in crisis may receive child care at no charge to alleviate stress and help families with child care predicaments. Service must be approved by the county Children and Youth Services.

The Centre County Child Care & Education Safety Net Program for Children and Youth assists families in obtaining quality child care services for their children while they are at work, job training, educating, in a rehabilitation program, have an emergency or respite need.
