A broad spectrum of civil cases are handled, including the following: landlord-tenant, debtor-creditor problems, unemployment compensation, termination of social security or SSI benefits, uninsured tort defense, family law and other serious civil matters.

Simple wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives are provided for financially eligible adults age 60 and over.

Assistance in clearing criminal records through the state pardon process is also provided.

Provides advice in cases involving eviction, illegal lockouts, unlawful termination of utilities, and homes in disrepair.

For clients in subsidized housing, provides advice on admissions and evictions; termination of Section 8; utility allowance problems and repair problems; disability accommodations; domestic violence and assault-related housing issues; PHA grievance hearings; adding or removing family members from a lease; recertification issues.

Also provides assistance related to property tax appeals.
