Children's Review Team is an out of home placement option. It is the mechanism to insure that every community resource and option for a child has been considered and exhausted prior to a child being referred to a therapeutic foster care program or a residential treatment facility. The Children's Review Team will facilitate and connect children to the most appropriate mental health service as deemed by the Interagency Service Planning Team.

Therapeutic Family Care is a specialized foster care program for children and adolescents with a mental health diagnosis. Children in the TFC program are supported by intensely trained foster parents and are provided weekly therapy and support services in the therapeutic foster home. The program focuses on skill building in the areas of positive coping, anger management, social skills and communication skills. Family therapy is included when the family of origin is involved and the plan is for reunification. The family of origin is assisted with developing improved parenting skills, understanding and managing their child's mental health diagnosis, and creating positive structure in the home.

Children's Home of York's Permanency Program provides a variety of services for children and their biological, foster, and/or adoptive families from birth through the age of 18. Our structured, therapeutic family environment offers intensive support with the goal of helping children in our care secure a permanent family as quickly as possible. We work with a diverse pool of resource parents to provide kinship care and a variety of Permanency support services throughout Pennsylvania.
