“I need to get to my doctor’s appointments.”

Jim was set to start chemo and radiation treatments in a few days, but he had no means to get there. His only form of transportation was his spouse, Carol, who works during the day. They couldn’t afford for her to take off work and lose income.

They had heard that there were programs available for people in this situation, but didn’t know where to look. Jim decided to call 211 to get pointed in the right direction. Our Resource Navigator connected him to a couple local organizations providing transportation to and from medical appointments. In addition, Jim got information on support groups and programs to help with errands.

“I was right to call you, you’ve been a blessing.” – Jim, Eastern PA
