Cheyenne stays at home to care for her daughter, who was born with a lung condition. While her husband works to provide for the family, it’s hard to make ends meet on one income. They were falling behind on rent and utility bills, and when the shutoff notice for the water arrived, she decided to reach out to 211.
She explained her situation to our Resource Navigator, who identified a few local programs that might be able to help. Not only were there programs in place to keep families like Cheyenne’s from having their utilities shut off, but there were resources to help with rent, food, and other expenses.
