Peer Specialists are individuals who are themselves in mental health recovery and have successfully experienced significant growth towards recovery. Special Therapeutic interactions conducted by self-identified current or former consumers of behavioral health service who are trained and certified to offer support and assistance in helping others in their recovery and community integrations process.
