Provides a process where families have the opportunity to develop a plan that will ensure children are cared for and protected from future harm in ways befitting their culture and lifestyle. Extends on-going responsibility for child safety, well-being and permanence to families, communities and natural support systems. Families are directly involved in the planning and protection of their children.
