Helpful Tips: MWAA is a public education service for prevention, early detection, early intervention, scientific research, and cures of mental health conditions which includes substance misuse, for the holistic health of the individual and society.

The Adult and Youth MHFA classes have three types of instruction: All virtual; Blended (2.5 hours online the remaining hours in-person training; all in-person training.

Adult helping adult has some in-person modules: EMS/fire; older adults; higher education; law enforcement, corrections, and public safety; military members, veterans, and their families. 8 hours of training.

Upon successful completion the participant receives national certification as a Mental Health First Aider for three years.

Minimum 7 participants in a class. Maximum 20 for virtual and blended classes. Up to 30 for in-person classes.
