Monroe County Children and Youth Services
Stroudsburg - Adoption and Subsidized Adoption Services
Adoption services are for children in agency foster care who cannot return home. These are children who are physically and/or mentally handicapped, emotionally disturbed or hard to place because of age, sibling relationship or ethnicity. Special needs children are eligible for a subsidy at the finalization of their adoption until the age of 18. This subsidy will provide medical assistance and financial assistance according to the reasonable needs of the child and the family's resources.
