Altoona - GED Testing Center
The Altoona Area School District GED Testing Center is an approved GED testing site where the official GED exam is administered. Adults and eligible minors who have not completed their high school education can take the GED to earn their high school equivalency diploma. Those wishing to take the exam at our site must first visit hhtps://ged.com to create an account, register, and pay for the exam.

Eligibility: In Pennsylvania, the minimum age required to take the test is 18 years old.
If a candidate is 16 or 17, they must have an approved age waiver from the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), which requires the written request from either an employer, college admissions office, military recruiting office, or director of a state institution indicating a GED is required.
