Family Promise of the Poconos Inc. Emergency Shelter
Provides transitional housing to help families achieve sustainable independence through safe shelter and services by a collaborative network of community organizations. Case Manager works with each family to plan their rapid return to independent housing. Helps with the services a family might need, such as: securing housing, employment, job training, and connecting to services. Pets with a Promise allows families to keep their pets while working towards independence in the program.

Eligibility: 211 referral/web referrals, accept help.org referrals. The organization is a barrier free program. Domestic violence must have stopped for 6 months, must be literally homeless as per HUD guidelines, letter of homelessness from Street to Feet outreach is accepted, no drug or alcohol abuse

Intake Procedure: Please call 211 and conduct an assessment. The agency will also follow-up with referrals for the intake process. Background check is required for all adults
