Farmers Market Voucher Program
Provides eligible seniors with vouchers for fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. Under the program, each qualifying individual will receive five (5) $10 vouchers to redeem at a local approved Farmers' Market.

Eligibility: Lackawanna County residents who will be 60 or older by December 3. Persons who reside in a nursing home, personal care home, domiciliary home, or convent are not eligible. Must meet income guidelines based on 2023. Total household income (1 Person/household, $26,973, 2 Person/household, $36,482 , 3 Person/household, $45,991, 4 Person/household, $55,500 , 5 Person/household, $65,009, 6 Person/household, $74,518, 7 Person/household, $84,027, and 8 Person/household, $93,536
Hours: Distribution will begin in July 2023 and will be in person only (no mailing). Distribution schedule can be found HERE

Intake Procedure: In person distribution only. Distribution schedule available on website listed above. Mailed applications will not be processed.
Intake Requirements: No application necessary just proof of address and age. Bring ID or documentation proving residency and age.
If eligible senior cannot attend a distribution event, a proxy can act in their place with a competed proxy form. Blank Proxy forms are available to print on the website and can be mailed upon request. A person may be a proxy for up to four (4) persons.
