Helpful Tips: Education course for family or friend of a mentally ill person: Classes are team-taught by trained family members who have been there and understand.

Participants are encouraged to support each other, to be knowledgeable, and to be effective members of a team that includes the family, the consumer, the doctor, and the case manager. Skills are taught on how to advocate and become an effective care giver. Many participants also find the emotional support that is so vital during times of illness and stress. You are not alone.
