Intake Procedure: Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are preferred. Call 717-249-1009 to complete intake (or call Cumberland Street Outreach at 717-448-8850).
Geographical Area: Cumberland County (Carlisle and surrounding area)
Helpful Tips: Community CARES is the only physical access site in the county. Because housing resources are limited, this process is designed to ensure that individuals and families with the highest vulnerability, service needs, and length of homelessness receive top priority in housing placement. (To better serve the county's needs, Community CARES also operates monthly satellite CES sites in partnership with two locates of New Hope Ministry in Lemoyne and Mechanicsburg and Katie's Place in Shippensburg).
