Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster County
Provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and their children including:
- Emergency shelter
- 24-hour telephone hotline
- Crisis-oriented counseling, both on-site and off-site (by request to victims in rural Lancaster County)
- Individual and group counseling for victims
- A free, limited, on-site health clinic operated by a licensed Nurse Practitioner (available to residents and their dependent children)
- Domestic Violence Legal Clinic (DVLC), located at 35 East Orange Street Lancaster, which provides legal assistance to victims of domestic violence
- Bridge Housing Program, a 10 apartment transitional facility for former shelter residents, providing additional housing for up to 12 months.
- Community Education: Presentations and training in the area of domestic violence are provided to agencies, schools, business, church and civic
Eligibility: Any victim of domestic violence
Hours: Assistance, hotline and residence: 24/7; Domestic Violence Legal Clinic: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
