Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency - Loan Programs - PENNVEST Homeowner Septic Program
As of February 1, 2023, PAHAF has temporilly paused accepting new application. Offers assistance to repair or replace on-lot septic system or to connect for the first time to a public sewer system. This product has a low interest and provides up to $25,000 with a 20 year term.
Eligibility: The property must be in the state of Pennsylvania, owner-occupied by the applicant as a primary and permanent residence. Project must be in a community where a wastewater collection and treatment system is not in place and will not be constructed in the next five years.

Fee Amounts: Application fee applies - it is reimburseable if the loan is closed and disbursed. Applicants who receive a loan must make monthly loan payments.
Intake Procedure: Contact a PENNVEST participating lender to discuss qualifications.
Intake Requirements: Must meet Income Guidelines and complete required paperwork, including system design/build process.
