School-year Recreational Program
Provides programs during the school year for children and youth ages 5-21 years with disabilities.
Children ages 5-12: Provide Structured program in which the children can participate in crafts, music therapy, group games, story time and preparing a snack. Siblings ages of 5-12 are also invited to participate in separate activities with other siblings and meet children who are in similar situations while having fun. 2 1/2 hour session held once a month
Youth ages 13-21: Adolescents travel into the community and participate in a variety of activities, such as miniature golf, bowling, shopping at the mall and eating a dinner at a restaurant. Session held once a month.
Youth ages 12-17 years with high functioning Autism: Group participates in age appropriate activities designed to develop their socialization and communication skills. Session is held once a month.
