When you call the lawyer’s to whom you are referred, be sure to let them know that you came through the Lawyer Referral Service of the Bar Association. At that first meeting, you will be charged $20.00 for the first half hour of consultation. (Attorneys who participate in the Lawyer Referral Program agree to accept $20.00 for the first half hour.) However, you and your lawyer need to discuss hourly fees and future costs which may be associated with your case.
