Free Library of Philadelphia Free Library of Philadelphia - Summer Reading Program
This is a drop-in program where children and teens win prizes for reading and other independent library activities. Children up to 6th grade receive stickers for each activity to win prizes. Teens in 7th-12th grades can fill out a prize raffle entry every time they read (for themselves or to a younger child), listen to a book on tape, watch a library video, or review a website. Call for specific dates.

Free Library of Philadelphia - Science in the Summer
This free program introduces students to the fun of science through one week sessions and special two day sessions. Certified teachers will lead students through experiments during sessions at 52 branches. Classes are held for two age groups through morning and afternoon sessions. This year's topic is paleontology (dinosaurs and fossils). Different branches will host this program on different weeks throughout the summer. Call the individual library for specific dates and times.

Free Library of Philadelphia - Project LEAP
The LEAP After-School Program provides homework assistance, computer literacy, library skills, and multicultural enrichment activities for school-age students in grades 1-12. LEAP is in operation after school on weekdays from September through June at all Free Library locations. It's an open drop-in program, so no registration is necessary.
