Special Needs Item Requests
Assist in directing caregivers/family to resources for supporting children with special needs. When possible, organization takes requests for items that are deemed beneficial for a child but may not be covered through medical insurance. An application can be completed for the item; which should include insurance denial information as well as supportive documentation from the child's medical doctor when applicable. Applications are available on the website and can be mailed to the organization.

Equipment Fund - provides up to $1,500 per fiscal year to purchase wheelchairs, crutches, and other adaptive devices. Please contact SBADV for a list of approved items.

Eligibility: For individuals and families impacted by spina bifida.There are no financial eligibility requirements for these programs. These amounts are based on a per individual basis. However, SBADV requires you to be a registered constituent and live within the areas we serve. For more information on the application, visit the website www.sbadv.org.

Shepherd of the Streets Ministry
Ministry provides assistance with medical issues; help with prescriptions, medical supplies/equipment, dental and visual(glasses) assistance , transportation to appointments out of town, bus passes for reaching medical treatment in town, hygiene items, and clinical pastoral counseling.

Accepts donations:
- General Items -
Combs, Shampoo, Large bars soap, Toothbrush, Tube toothpaste, Band-aids and bandage supplies, disposable razors, tissues, Wash cloths, bath towels, Hand lotion, gel shaving cream, women's hygiene products and adult diapers.
- Baby Items -
Child’s toothbrush, Diapers in all sizes, Baby shampoo, Baby lotion, baby soap, baby powder.
