Assists clients with budgeting and managing finances, paying bills, and completing documents for the Social Security Administration, County Assistance Office, etc.

The goal is to work with eligible individuals to maintain housing, secure food, medications, and clothing.

Eligibility: Butler County residents whose mental illness presents a barrier to managing their finances; have a diagnosis of a serious mental illness; be enrolled in a mental health service and have a completed referral form, including a form signed by a physician/physician's assistant or nurse practitioner.

Fee Amounts: Services provided free of charge through funding from the Butler County Department of Human Services.
Intake Procedure: Call, email, or visit the website for application and physician referral forms.

Helpful Tips: Once the application is approved by Butler County Human Services and the Social Security Administration, an MHA staff member will contact the individual to complete an intake.

Please note that the approval process through Social Security can take up to 2 months.
