Exams are performed by a licensed optometrist and include screenings for cataracts and glaucoma.
Eligible individuals can receive one examination every year. Eyeglasses are available every year if the consumer's prescription changes. If there is no change in the prescription, eyeglasses are available every 2 years.
Does not provide medical treatment for eye problems. If a medical problem is suspected, the consumer is referred to an ophthalmologist in the community.

Eligibility:
Westmoreland County residents age 60 and older; individuals under
age 60 who reside in personal care, assisted living facilities, or
in Dom Care (adult foster care) homes are also eligible.

Fee Amounts:
The fee for the examination and glasses ranges between $40.00 and
$90.00. The Vision Center uses a sliding fee scale.
