Shared Ride Van Service Department - Rural Transportation Program Persons with Disabilities Transportation (PWD)
Offers reduced fare, shared-ride transportation to persons with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Program can be used for medical trips if you are ineligible for the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP). PWD can also be used for trips to work, social events, shopping and most other trip needs. No out of county trips.

Eligibility: Must be between the ages of 18-64, live in Luzerne County, Doctor-Diagnosed Disability, and Living Outside a Bus Route (more than 3/4 mile from a bus route).

Fee Amounts: $3.50 - $6.75 each way based on mileage.

Intake Requirements: Complete application form. All passengers must be registered with Shared Ride before using our services, and advanced reservations are required.

Facility/ADA Access: The service provided is Curb-to-Curb and most LCTA vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts.
