Milton - Home-owned Home Repairs
Home Sweet Home is available for homeowners on low or fixed incomes that need repairs to make their homes safe and functional. If the cost of the job is beyond limits of HandUp services, partner referrals are made. You must be the homeowner with a current mortgage to be eligible. Services are offered to anyone who is in need of help. Participants must agree to participate in Foundation programs and to accept the Foundation's philosophy of a "HandUP not a hand out."

Intake Procedure: Pick up an application at the HandUP office or download from website. Complete the application and collect the required documents. Return it to the office in person and at that time meet with a staff member for a brief interview and review of application to make sure it is complete. Will inquire about availability of participant contribution of funds as well availability of skilled or unskilled volunteers to help. A site visit will be required to evaluate the requested repairs before making a decision on acceptance into the program.
