Permanent Supportive Housing
Permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness due to substance use disorders. Individuals receive supportive services including recovery support services, educational groups, life skills education, and transportation as they live as independently as possible. There is no predetermined length of stay.

Eligibility: Must be: (1) at least 18 years old, (2) a Berks County Resident, (3) be chronically homeless as defined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and (4) have a substance use disorder.

Fee Amounts: There is a one-time $100.00 move-in fee. Rental fees are 30% of an individual's net income, not to exceed $640.00/month.
Intake Procedure: Individuals complete and submit an application. Interviews are conducted to further assess those who appear to be a good fit for the program. Admission decisions are based on information from the application and interview.
Intake Requirements: Documentation verifying homelessness and a disability that impacts their ability to live independently.
