Bala Cynwyd - School Walk
School Walk for Diabetes is a program that educates children and their parents about diabetes. It also promotes community service, enhances school spirit, encourages physical activity and raises more than $100K annually. The School Walk Kit provides school nurses, educators and volunteers with lesson plans and classroom activities that stress the importance of eating healthy and the value of physical fitness. The Walk educates the entire school family about the seriousness of diabetes and its complications and the mission of ADA to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
