-Stop, Drop & Roll: Developed with the support of local fire departments, this program has raised awareness for 250,000 children on how to prevent burns and give them a simple and effective way to respond if their clothing catches fire.

-Cooking and Kids: Designed for pre-teens to introduce fire and burn prevention in a developmentally appropriate way, the program capitalizes on new skills and the enhanced cognitive capacity enjoyed by adolescents.

-Juvenile Firesetters: Many burns are the result of intentionally set fires. The Foundation is recognized as an expert resource, delivering workshops and training sessions that address the dangers of juvenile firesetting to youth workers, teachers, foster parents and members of the fire services community throughout the region.

Come out to Summer Zone Sports (SZS) to participate in a week of fun, competitive, physical activity! Across the week, the activities of the zone will change to address the interests of the participants. Various options for the activities will include sports, such as: flag football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, floor hockey, home run derby and/or slow-pitch softball, ultimate frisbee, kickball, etc. On certain days, the weather will determine the nature of the activity (indoors or outdoors). Each day, instructors will lead students in a warm-up, stretch, rules explanation, competition expectation, and facilitation of the activity. Wear sneakers, dress in comfortable athletic clothing, and remember to bring a water bottle.

Established in 1950, the Christmas Holiday Bureau provides limited financial assistance to low-income families in Lackawanna County during the Holiday Season. Eligible recipients are provided gift cards to purchase clothing, food or toys to help make the holiday season special to them. Donations are welcomed from individuals, businesses, organizations, faith-based organizations and schools to help provide assistance to over 3,000 individuals each year. Volunteers play an important role by helping to schedule appointments, interview recipients and process the gift.

In addition to providing residential services, BCS YES! participates in the federal Runaway Homeless Youth Program (RHYP).

Provides an opportunity for school-aged children who are being raised by aging grandparents, or who come from various social or economic environments which do not provide the security and support necessary for healthy growth and development. There are five cottages to house the children. Food, clothing, shelter, and medical care all are provided at no cost to the family. Counseling and tutoring services are offered as needed.The children attend Elizabethtown Area School District.

Members dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time by performing service projects.

Meetings consist of service project, program, or brief business proceedings.

Service and program topics vary, but are designed to expose members to new ideas, local/state/national issues and fresh perspectives on the community.

The Dillsburg Kiwanis club actively sponsors the Northern York High School Key Club, Middle School Builders Club and K-Kids at all 4 elementary buildings. They also sponsor the Dillsburg Challenger baseball team. The club participates in a community flower garden, maintaining tot lot at Logan Park, marshalling the Farmer's Fair Parade, supports New Hope Ministries and Nurse Family Partnership. The club reads at a local Head Start, provides books for local pre-schools along with many other programs supporting youth in the community. The School District of Lancaster continues to receive families from Puerto Rico and other U.S. Virgin Islands who are relocating to Lancaster as a result of Hurricane Maria. The district is collecting the following items for these families in need: deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, socks, underwear, towels, wash cloths, laundry detergent, toothbrushes, toothpas

Provides new and gently-used clothing for infants, toddlers, and school-age youth. Families can visit once a month, up to
five times yearly.

Provides new clothes to children attending school.

Offers backpacks with school supplies. Gently used clothing may be available. One day event only.

Assists children and their families by providing the necessary items to help a child for the upcoming school year. The children require basic supplies such as pencils, paper, binders, backpacks, but also need things such as uniforms, shoes and clothing.

Men in our residential programs attend the learning center in order to gain knowledge and increase employability. The level of education for each student varies immensely as some never completed elementary school and others have graduated from college. Each student has an individualized learning plan and learns at their own pace as they master skills in writing, math, reading, comprehension, and computer literacy. Life skills are an important element of the learning and career center which ensures students know how to make and keep a budget, write a resume, and interview for a job. We also provide business clothes for interviews.

Provides hygiene items, lice kits, undergarments, district approved clothing items, outerwear, and footwear to school nurses. The Nurse's Pantry is located in elementary, middle, and high schools in every school district in Schuylkill County.

Provides food and clothings in the basement of St. Paul's U.C.C.,205 W. Main Street, Dallastown, PA. Offers school supplies. Seeks volunteers.

Back to School Shopping Event children in need of school clothing, school supplies. Provides $200. for school shopping.

Provides supplemental food to pre-enrolled children including a pre-packed package and drive-up, stay-in-your-car, stations with produce, pre-made foods, frozen, etc., as available. Offers other items such as a clothing and hygiene supplies. Holds special events like new backpack with school supplies, new winter coats, and an annual Thanksgiving meal.

Clothing Closet stocks a wide variety of infant, toddler, children, teen and adult sized "gently used" clothing. Also shoes, boots, coats and accessories (such as backpacks, purses, belts, etc.). Periodically, has professional clothing such as scrubs or work-type pants available for adults. And, when prom time or school programs come around, has a variety of "dress up" clothes for kids and teens.
